1. The platform

Citizen Global Transport ("the platform", "we") operates a digital service — website, partner portal and mobile applications — that connects commercial passenger vehicles, heavy vehicles, heavy equipment, lifting equipment and recovery vehicles owned by independent providers with companies that wish to hire them, for scheduled and emergency use. By creating an account or using the service you agree to these terms and to our privacy policy.

2. Accounts

Accounts are for companies and their authorised staff; users must be 18 or older. You are responsible for keeping credentials confidential and for all activity under your account. Company registrations are reviewed and approved by Citizen Global before activation. Provide accurate information and keep it current — inaccurate vehicle, licence or insurance data may lead to suspension.

Accuracy and legal liability. Every field you submit at registration and afterwards — company identity, trade licence, TRN, address, contact details, vehicle, driver, insurance, ITC/CICPA/Asateel and ADNOC safety records — is a representation you make to Citizen Global and, once a contract is formed, to the other party to that contract. Submitting information you know to be false, forged or materially misleading is a breach of these terms and may result in immediate suspension or termination of your account, removal of the affected listing, offer or booking, and liability for any loss it causes to Citizen Global, the other party, or a third party. Depending on the facts, it may also constitute a civil wrong or a criminal offence under UAE law, including under the UAE Penal Code (Federal Decree-Law No. 31 of 2021) and, where false information is submitted through the platform's electronic systems, Federal Decree-Law No. 34 of 2021 on Combating Rumours and Cybercrime. This clause is general information, not legal advice — it does not list every law that could apply, and you should take your own legal advice if you are unsure whether information you hold is accurate.

3. Role of the platform

The platform is an intermediary. Hire contracts are concluded directly between the provider and the client, on the bilingual contract generated by the platform. The platform is not a carrier, lessor, employer of drivers, or party to hire contracts, and does not guarantee the availability, condition or performance of any vehicle. Separate agreements govern the relationship between the platform and each provider or client.

4. Hires, contracts and payments

• Offers made by providers through the platform are binding once accepted by the client.
• A hire contract becomes active when both parties have signed electronically and the advance payment (by default 30% of the contract value, as stated in the contract) has been received.
• Online payments are processed by a licensed payment provider on its own secure pages; the platform never stores card details. Bank transfer is available where online payment is not offered.
• Cancellation rights and charges are those stated in the applicable contract.

5. Acceptable use

You must not: misuse or attempt to breach the security of the service; access data of another company; submit false requests, offers or documents; scrape or copy the service or its content; reverse-engineer the applications; use the service for any unlawful purpose; or harass drivers, providers, clients or staff. We log security-relevant activity (including IP addresses) and may suspend accounts that abuse the service, with notification to the affected company.

6. GPS tracking

Vehicles on the platform are tracked while on duty, and tracking data is shared as described in the privacy policy. Providers are responsible for informing their drivers. Clients receive live location only for vehicles under an active hire.

7. Intellectual property

The platform, its software, design, logos and content are the property of Citizen Global Transport or its licensors. You receive a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the service for your business while your account is active. No part of the service may be copied, resold or made available to third parties.

8. Availability and liability

The service is provided "as is". We aim for high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted operation. To the maximum extent permitted by law, the platform is not liable for indirect or consequential loss, and its total liability arising out of the use of the service is limited to the fees paid to the platform in the twelve months preceding the claim. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded under UAE law.

9. Termination

You may close your account at any time (see account deletion). We may suspend or terminate accounts for breach of these terms, non-payment, fraud or legal requirement. Clauses on liability, intellectual property and governing law survive termination.

10. Changes

We may update these terms; material changes will be announced on the platform at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use after that date constitutes acceptance.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Emirate of Abu Dhabi and the federal laws of the United Arab Emirates. The courts of Abu Dhabi have exclusive jurisdiction. These terms are issued in English with an Arabic translation; the English text prevails.

Privacy Policy

This policy explains how Citizen Global Transport ("we", "us", "the platform") collects, uses, shares and deletes personal data when you use our website, partner portal and the Citizen Global Transport mobile applications for Android and iOS. It applies to vehicle providers, drivers, hiring clients, workshop users and website visitors. We process personal data in accordance with UAE Federal Decree-Law No. 45 of 2021 on the Protection of Personal Data (PDPL).

1. Data we collect

• Account and contact details — name, email address, mobile number, preferred language, company name, role, trade licence details of your company.
• Precise location of drivers while on duty — when a driver signs in to the driver app and is on duty, the app collects the vehicle's GPS position (latitude, longitude, speed, heading), including in the background while a trip is running, so that dispatchers and the hiring client can see the vehicle live. Location collection stops when the driver goes off duty or signs out. Vehicles fitted with a hardware GPS tracker report position independently of the driver's phone.
• Operational records — hire requests, offers, contracts, electronic signatures (image, signer name, time stamp and IP address), payments status, trips, job cards and route assignments.
• Device data — push notification token, device platform (Android/iOS), app version.
• Uploaded files — vehicle photos, documents and signature images you provide.
• Security logs — IP address, browser/user agent and actions performed, kept to protect accounts and detect abuse.

We do not collect data from your contacts, photos (other than files you choose to upload), microphone or camera without an explicit action by you. We do not process card numbers — online payments are handled by a licensed payment provider (Stripe) on their own secure pages.

2. Why we use it

• To operate the platform: matching requests with vehicles, dispatch (including emergency dispatch), contracts, payments and notifications.
• To show live vehicle availability and provide proof of service to hiring clients.
• To keep the platform secure, prevent fraud and misuse, and meet legal obligations.
• To contact you about your account, contracts and service messages. We do not sell personal data and we do not use it for third-party advertising.

3. Sharing

• With hiring clients — search results show vehicle type, capacity, area and availability only, in anonymised form; plate number and driver name are shared only after a hire is confirmed, and live location only for the duration of that hire.
• With vehicle providers — the client company name, contact person and site details needed to perform a confirmed hire.
• Service providers — hosting, push notifications (Firebase Cloud Messaging), email delivery and payment processing (Stripe), each bound to use the data only to provide their service.
• Authorities — where required by UAE law or a competent court or authority.

4. Retention

• Vehicle position history is kept for 90 days and then deleted automatically.
• Contracts, payments and invoices are kept for the period required by UAE commercial law.
• Security logs are kept for up to 180 days.
• Other account data is kept while your account is active and removed or anonymised after deletion (see below).

5. Your rights

Subject to the PDPL you may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data, object to or restrict certain processing, and withdraw consent where processing is based on consent. Contact hello@citizenautomobile.com — we respond within 30 days.

6. Account and data deletion

You can delete your account and personal data at any time:

• In the app: Account → Delete my account, or
• On the web: www.citizenautomobile.com/account/delete (works without signing in — you verify with your email and password).

Deletion takes effect after a 30-day grace period during which you can change your mind by signing in and cancelling the request. After the grace period your name, email, phone and profile are permanently removed; operational records that must be kept by law (e.g. signed contracts, invoices) are retained with your personal identifiers anonymised. Company administrators can request deletion of the whole company account in the same way.

7. Location permission on your device

The driver app asks for location permission (including background location on Android) solely to share the vehicle position while on duty. You can revoke the permission in your device settings at any time; dispatch features that depend on live position will stop working. Client and workshop app roles do not use background location.

8. Security

Data is transmitted over TLS, passwords are stored hashed, access is role-based and tenant-isolated, uploads are stored outside the web root and re-encoded, and all sensitive actions are logged with source IP. No system is perfectly secure; we notify affected users and the UAE Data Office of breaches where the PDPL requires it.

9. Children

The platform is a business service for companies and their staff. It is not directed at children, and accounts may not be created by anyone under 18.

10. Changes and contact

11. Cookies

We use a small number of first-party cookies — no third-party advertising or tracking cookies. Necessary cookies keep you signed in, remember your chosen language and protect your account and the platform from forgery and abuse; they can't be switched off. With your permission we also set functional cookies (remembering display preferences), analytics cookies (understanding platform usage to improve it) and marketing cookies (reserved for measuring our own communications in future — not currently in use). You choose which of these you allow the first time you visit, and can change your choice at any time via "Cookie preferences" in the site footer or the dashboard sidebar.
